    Or you might at least provide an opt-in choice for people who don't mind having their phone number shared.
    And maybe also for people who don't mind being geo-located from cell antenna for GeoChat.

    And make simple group addressing more apparent in help (even for a single group). (I did not know about it until now, and thought I had to go change my default group everytime).

    We are very aware of this, obviously. The first step – in the ongoing release in september- is to finalize the APIs (http and SMS) that will simplify developing these sort of apps.
    There is now an open source app for android at smslocation.googlecode.com and one for iPhone at iengage.googlephone.com

    Yes, it would be nice to have tiles for a user-definable area pre-cached locally, at all possibly relevant zoom levels (depending on available storage space, of course).
